BOAO, Hainan, April 21 (Xinhua)-Entrepreneurs from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan will discuss how to realize common prosperity across the Taiwan Straits in Boao, a small town in south China’s Hainan Province during the annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) from April 21 to 23.
This is the first meeting of such kind since the BFA was founded in 2001, Long Yongtu, secretary-general of the BFA, said at a press conference here Friday.
The business dialogue will be held on April 23. Topics will include “strengthening economic cooperation” across the Straits and “realizing a common prosperity.”
Heading a business delegation, Vincent Siew, chairman of the Taiwan-based Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation, is here attending the annual conference.
Long said the BFA, as a non-governmental regional organization, can provide opportunities for entrepreneurs from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan to exchange views and strengthen cooperation. Enditem
