BOAO, Hainan, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference 2005 opened here at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

   Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. Chairman of BFA Board of Directors Fidel V. Ramos and some other business leaders will also speak at the opening session.

   More than 1,200 senior politicians, scholars and business people from Asia and other parts of the world are present at the annual conference in the scenic town in China's southernmost island province of Hainan.  Enditem
