Haikou, April 12 (Xinhua) Nearly 400 journalists from over 100 organizations of media, home and abroad, will report the Annual Conference 2005 of Bo’ao Forum for Asia. The BFA Annual Conference 2005 will be held on April 22-24 in Bo’ao, a scenic coastal town in South China, when the small town with a population of only 20,000 will draw the attention all over the world. That is why more than 100 organizations of media enthusiastically apply for reporting the conference.

    Duan Wei, media chief of the BFA Secretariat released that 349 journalists have been registered till April 11, among whom 218 are from organizations in Chinese mainland and 131 from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and abroad. It is reported that the major organizations of media from Chinese mainland include Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, CCTV, China Radio International, China News Service, Shanghai TV, Hainan TV and Hainan Daily and so on. Phoenix TV, TVB, Ta Kung Pao, Hong Kong Standard, South China Morning Post, Macao Daily News, TTV and other organizations of media from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have been also registered by the secretariat. Reuters, AP, AFP, Kyodo News, BBC, Asahi Shimbun, CBC, and Wall Street Journal and so on will also come to Bo’ao to report the conference.

    Since there will be a special session of China and Australia-The Energy Future and John Howard, Prime Minister of Australia will attend the conference as an honorary guest, many Australian organizations of media have applied and been registered for reporting the conference.

    It is reported that although registration of journalists ended on April 10, quite a few organizations still want to get the opportunity for reporting the conference. There will be nearly 400 journalists reporting in Bo’ao. (Enditem)

博鳌亚洲论坛吸引境内外众多媒体

    新华网海南频道4月12日消息（记者刘华）将会有百余家媒体近400名记者齐聚海南省博鳌，对博鳌亚洲论坛2005年年会进行采访。4月22日至24日，博鳌亚洲论坛2005年年会将在海南博鳌举行，届时这个只有两万多人的滨海小镇将再次成为举世瞩目的焦点。因此，境内外百余家媒体争相报名参加年会的报道。

    据博鳌亚洲论坛秘书处新闻官段伟介绍，截至4月11日，已有百余家媒体的349名记者报名，要求对年会进行采访，其中境内记者218名，境外131名。

    据悉，报名参加年会报道的大陆媒体有：新华社、人民日报、中央电视台、中央人民广播电台、中国国际广播电台、中新社、北京青年报、上海电视台、广东电视台、羊城晚报、海南电视台、海南日报等。

    凤凰卫视、无线电视、香港有线电视、明报、大公报、南华早报、澳门日报、台湾中华电视、金融评论等港澳台众多媒体也报名采访年会。 路透社、美联社、法新社、共同社、埃菲社、朝日新闻、华尔街日报、亚洲金融时报、远东经济评论、BBC、加拿大广播公司、德国广播协会等也将来到博鳌。

    由于本届年会的议题之一是“中澳能源合作的未来”，并且澳大利亚总理霍华德将作为特邀嘉宾出席年会，此次报名参加采访的澳大利亚媒体特别多，澳大利亚广播协会、悉尼电视台等媒体都将派出阵容庞大的采访队伍。

    据悉，尽管记者注册工作已于4月10日截止，但仍有境内外媒体提出采访要求。最终采访年会的记者总数有望达到400人。（完）
